Back to recoveries

GR15970 a female nestling was wing tagged AP in July 2011 at Sculthorpe and was seen on the 25 December 2012 near Aerodromo da Leziria, Lisbon, Portugal, a small airfield used for aerial crop spraying of the extensive rice fields in the area.  Only the second BTO ringed Marsh Harrier to be 'recovered' in Portugal, we know she survived to return as she was seen on the 13 April 2013 coming in off the sea at Spurn Point.
On the 14 November 2015 she was seen at Ploegsteert, Belgium.
Seen next at Langrick Bridge, Lincolnshire on the 5 April 2017, the observer commented that she was seen on numerous occasions throughout the summer and nested there raising three chicks.
